Provincial Leaders Tour Axe Living’s Thorold Facility
Axe Living recently welcomed provincial leaders to its Thorold facility for a firsthand look at how innovative prefabrication is accelerating attainable housing across Ontario. During the visit, Hon. Rob Flack, Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing, and Hon. Sam Oosterhoff, Associate Minister of Energy-Intensive Industries, toured Axe Living’s high-quality, factory-built homes—many of which can be installed in under a day and fully finished in less than a week. The visit highlighted Axe Living’s role as a trusted partner to the Province in advancing faster, more efficient housing solutions at the scale communities need.

Prefab Apartment Project Advances on Academy Street in St. Catharines
Axe Living is partnering with the St. Catharines Municipal Development Corporation to deliver a 22-unit prefabricated apartment building on surplus city land at Academy Street in downtown St. Catharines. Built using Axe Living’s factory-based construction approach, the all-electric, energy-efficient project is designed to deliver high-quality rental housing faster and at attainable price points, demonstrating a new model for urban infill development in Niagara.
